In partnership with the London Mint Office, S3 Advertising were tasked with producing a documentary with Colin Thackery, Ross Kolby and Virginia Lewis-Jones to celebrate a woman that at a time of suffering and war, reminded our heroes of what they were fighting for.
Dame Vera Lynn’s portrait was painted by Ross Kolby in her honour and now that she has passed, in her cherished memory. Her daughter, Virginia, briefly spoke of her mothers past and Colin, in partnership with the London Mint Office, helped unveil the portrait after singing one of her songs in the Royal Albert Hall.
The painting was to be hung in the Royal Albert Hall alongside where she performed over 50 times and her documentary was released to an audience alongside it.

“I painted Dame Vera in her very own 102-year-old universe. She’s in the centre, like the sun – and has elements pointing to her life surrounding her, floating weightlessly.” - Ross Kolby
