Insight:

In the modern world it’s easy to live in your head and not your body; worrying about what could be, rather than living (and sensing) in the moment. We forget we’re ultimately animals and we forget to use our natural senses.

Idea:

Show how Aria Resorts reinvigorates your body’s senses in a totally carefree and natural way, taking us back to our true animal core.

Execution: 

We show the sensory enjoyment of an Aria Resort holiday as experienced by the most carefree animal there is  - a dog. Before then revealing that this dog is actually a real person enjoying an Aria Resort break.

  • We open on a wide, side profile shot of Gary, a well groomed Otterhound.

    Gary is sat in his usual spot, looking out the living room window on a slightly gloomy day. His mind wanders onto the better things he could and should be doing.

    VO: This is Gary.

    VO: Gary is feeling a little desperate, a little desensitised.

    VO: I mean, it has been a long year hasn’t it?

    Camera cuts to see Gary from behind, framed by the window in front of him as he looks out on a gloomy day.

    VO: He needs his fix.

    We flash cut to see Gary jumping through a wave as the sea water covers him and the splashes hit the camera. We quickly cut back to the living room scene.

    VO: He needs his senses replenished…

    We now flash cut to see Gary rolling in the sand, on his back, paws in the air as the sand flicks towards camera.

    VO: The thing is, what he doesn’t know, is that with Aria Resorts you can get that sensory fix you need in no time…

    Gary now looks at camera as if to question why he didn’t know this.

    The camera cuts in closer on Gary’s eyes and it’s at 

    this point something drastic changes…

    We now see Gary as a man. 

    A mid 30’s human, desperate to reinvigorate his senses. 

    Gary (the man) looks away, the camera cuts back to a 

    wide of the room as he stands up and walks from scene 

    – it’s about time he booked his getaway. 

    We now see human Gary jumping through the waves with his surf board under arm, splashing his partner with water, lying on the sand, feeling the sand between his toes and breathing in the fresh air.

    VO: What Gary needed was a dose of nature, a sensory fix.
